How Humand Talent Ltd handles personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Humand Talent Ltd ("Humand", "we", "us") is a company registered in England & Wales, based in Oxfordshire. We act as a data controller for personal data collected through our website, community platform and recruitment services.

2. What we collect

  • Account & profile data — name, email, phone, CV, work history, links you provide.
  • Client & enquiry data — company, role, hiring needs, correspondence.
  • Community data — posts, questions, event attendance, mentor/founder applications.
  • Usage data — pages visited, referrers, device and browser info, cookies (see Cookie Policy).

3. How we use it

  • To match candidates with roles and deliver our recruitment services (contract / legitimate interests).
  • To operate the community, events and content (contract / legitimate interests).
  • To send transactional emails you request and, with consent, marketing updates.
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

4. Sharing

We share personal data only with: prospective employers you consent to be introduced to; sub-processors that power our infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, analytics, CRM); and authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Some sub-processors are based outside the UK/EEA. Where they are, we rely on adequacy decisions or UK IDTA / EU SCCs.

6. Retention

Candidate records are retained for up to 24 months after last meaningful contact, then deleted or anonymised. Client records are retained for the duration of the relationship plus 6 years for tax purposes. Marketing consent is retained until withdrawn.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and to withdraw consent. Submit a request via our data request page or email privacy@humand.co.uk. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

8. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure — report concerns to security@humand.co.uk.

9. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and notify registered users of material changes by email.
