About the role
Talent Scouts find the people behind our searches. You'll source, approach and engage candidates for technology and deep-tech roles, and keep good people moving through the process — the candidate side of the placements the team makes. It's a role where you learn the market quickly, with coaching from across the team.
What you'll do
- Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases, job boards, referrals and our communities.
- Approach and hold first conversations with candidates, many of whom aren't actively looking.
- Screen candidates against the brief and share strong people with the team as soon as you find them.
- Keep candidates informed and well looked after through the process.
- Keep candidate records accurate in our CRM.
What good looks like
- A steady flow of relevant, interested candidates for live searches.
- Candidates who feel well treated, whether or not they're placed.
- Growing confidence and independence as you learn the market.
What you'll bring
- Curiosity about people and technology, and the persistence to keep going on a hard search.
- Clear, friendly communication, on the phone and in writing.
- Organisation and attention to detail.
Useful, not essential
- Any experience of sourcing, recruitment, sales or other people-facing work.
- Interest in technology or deep-tech.
Where it leads
The natural next step is Senior Talent Scout, and from there the wider recruitment path described on our careers page.

How we hire
- A first call. Around 30 minutes on the phone with the hiring manager or Joe Edney.
- Face-to-face interview. A conversation in person, including a small task or presentation so you can show how you think.
- Meet the team. Time with a good part of the team, so you know who you'd be working with.
- A final conversation. A follow-up with Joe Edney to answer your remaining questions and talk about next steps.
We can move quickly, but we'd rather give everyone who applies a fair look than hire the first person through the door.
