About the Role
With continued growth and investment, they are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Technician to join their Operations team and play a key role in building, testing and improving sophisticated systems that make a real impact.
Responsibilities
Build and test complex, high-precision assemblies and systems
Work closely with engineers to identify challenges and help develop practical solutions
Support the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and product quality
Play an important role in delivering products to customers on time
Create and refine build documentation, test procedures and technical records
Contribute to Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production planning activities
Help maintain high standards across production and specialist working environments
Support a strong culture of safety, quality and operational excellence
Share your experience and help drive best practice across the wider team
Qualifications
You may already be working as a Senior Manufacturing Technician or in a similar advanced manufacturing environment where you’ve developed strong technical assembly and testing skills.
Required Skills
Manufacturing, assembling or testing complex technology products
Working with optical, electro-mechanical, electronic or precision-engineered systems
Wiring and soldering to recognised industry standards
Supporting products through development, release and manufacturing lifecycles
Quality control, production engineering or manufacturing improvement activities
Producing clear technical documentation and build records
Working collaboratively with engineering and operations teams
Preferred Skills
Practical and solutions-focused
Comfortable tackling new technical challenges
Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination
Confident communicating technical information
Motivated by quality, precision and continuous improvement
While not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
High-tech manufacturing environments
Optical systems, lasers or fibre technologies
Electronics or electro-mechanical assemblies
Cleanroom manufacturing
Precision instrumentation or advanced engineering products
Equivalent qualifications, apprenticeships or industry experience will all be considered.
Pay range and compensation package
In return, our client offers: £35,000 - £45,000 salary depending on experience, 25 days annual leave, private healthcare, life assurance benefits, pension contribution scheme with salary sacrifice options, share scheme participation opportunities, the chance to work within a growing, innovative technology business, long-term career development and progression opportunities.
