About the role
You will have responsibility across operations, supply chain and procurement, including:
Taking ownership of day to day operational performance
Leading operational planning, capacity and resource management
Improving KPIs, processes and operational controls
Managing inventory across multiple locations and external partners
Managing the end to end supply chain and improving its resilience
Working closely with OEM, CEM and outsourced manufacturing partners
Managing supplier performance across quality, delivery and responsiveness
Identifying and reducing supply chain risks
Leading supplier selection, negotiations and commercial agreements
Driving cost reduction across the BOM
Supporting engineering and R&D teams with NPI and new product development
Helping products move successfully from design into production
Leading and developing members of the operations team
Driving continuous improvement across the wider operation
What are we looking for?
You will ideally have:
Previous operations management experience within a hardware, electronics, engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong supply chain and supplier management experience
Experience working with OEM, CEM or outsourced manufacturing partners
A track record of improving operational processes and performance
Experience managing inventory across multiple locations or partners
Hands on experience with an ERP or MRP system
Experience managing or leading a team
Strong commercial and supplier negotiation skills
Experience working alongside R&D or engineering teams on NPI would be particularly useful, as would experience within electronics or component supply chains.
Qualifications such as CIPS, APICS or CPIM would be beneficial, but practical experience and a strong track record are more important.
